Albania is facing one of its most significant periods of public unrest in years. What began as protests over development in protected natural areas has grown into a wider, student-led movement, raising urgent questions about the right to protest, the conduct of the state, and the accountability of those in power.
UKAP Foundation is bringing together legal experts, journalists, and members of the diaspora for an informed and balanced conversation on what is happening, what the law says, and what comes next. The aim of this webinar is to inform, not to take sides.
What we will discuss
Why this matters
How a country responds to dissent says a great deal about the strength of its institutions. This webinar offers a space for grounded, evidence-based dialogue at a moment when public attention, in Albania and across the diaspora, is high and reliable information matters more than ever.
Who should attend
This event is open to all, particularly Albanian professionals, students, civil society members, journalists, and diaspora communities in the UK and beyond who want to better understand the situation and engage constructively with it.
The UKAP Foundation is proudly registered as a UK charity (Charity No. 1215303)
