Meet the Team

Finance: Driton works in London's financial services industry at a leading investment bank specializing in capital markets compliance. As a UKAP founder, he remains committed to fostering collaboration among Albanian professionals in the UK through mentoring, networking, and events. Outside work, Driton spends time with family and runs after his daughters.

Finance: Laura works in London's financial services industry at a leading investment bank within their equities division. She holds an MSc in Finance from the LSE and a BA in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Sheffield. Outside of work, Laura enjoys researching cooking receipts and planning trips down to the tiniest details. 

Medical Communications: Ambra is a Medical Writer and Editor at a scientific journal specialising in wound care. She holds a BSc in Physiological Science with a focus in Neuroscience from the University of Bristol. Outside of work, Ambra enjoys long walks in the sun, eating spoonfuls of almond butter and spoiling her cat.

Engineering: Blerina is a Hardware Verification Engineer at a semiconductor company that develops accelerators for AI and machine learning. She ensures that digital hardware designs meet specifications and verifies correctness pre-manufacturing. She holds an MEng and BEng in Computer Science and Electronics from the University of Bristol. Outside of work, Blerina enjoys travelling and exploring new cuisines and cultures.

Banking: Sofiana works as a Quantitative Analyst in the Risk Division of a leading bank. She holds a BSc in Mathematics from UCL and a MSc in Business Analytics from Imperial College London. Sofiana is passionate about education and tutors mathematics. Outside of studying, she enjoys art, particularly embroidering.

Finance: Brian works in London's financial services industry at a leading investment bank within their treasury department. He holds an MSc in Finance from Warwick Business School and a BSc in Accounting and Finance from Athens University of Economics and Business. Outside of work, Brian enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his family. 

Project Management: Esmerjan is a Project Manager in the data centre industry. He holds Master’s degrees in Wealth Management from Queen Mary University of London and International Finance, and a BSc in Banking and Finance from Istanbul Commerce University. He is fluent in four languages with experience in marine security, equity analysis, investment fund management and diplomacy. Esmerjan is an active volunteer for the Albanian diaspora, passionate about Northern Albanian and Middle Eastern poetry, hiking and human rights activism.

Law: Agred is a legal associate working in the fintech industry. He is a graduate in Law from Cambridge University and a qualified lawyer in Albania with three years of experience. Agred has been a social activist while pursuing his studies, and he loves football, chess, hanging out with friends and going to the theatre.

International Relations: Zoje, currently pursuing an MSc in International Public Policy and Development at Royal Holloway, University of London, is deeply committed to societal advancement, prioritising governance, welfare, environmental sustainability and global development. Outside of work, Zoje is passionate about horse riding, exploring new culinary experiences and engaging in the art of Albanian poetry alongside her grandmother.

Sales: Armend works as a credit risk analyst at a boutique power and gas supplier. He holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Bristol and is currently a CFA Level 2 candidate. Outside of work and study, Armend finds enjoyment in sports, especially playing volleyball and training in boxing.

Technology: Ditmir is a software developer with a BSc in Computer Science from Brunel University, and excels in software development and testing. As an independent consultant engineer, he has delivered projects for globally recognised companies such as BBC, Puma, DAZN and Channel 4. His expertise spans fintech, e-commerce, blockchain, publishing and energy sectors.

Naval Architecture: Ardit holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Naval Architecture from the University of West Athens and a Master of Science in Marine Engineering from the University of Strathclyde. Ardit works for a major oil and gas company in London. Outside of work, Ardit enjoys travelling abroad and trying new cuisines.

Finance: Emir works as an Analyst in Risk Advisory at a leading consulting and financial advisory company in London. With a Master's degree in Finance (Asset Pricing) from King’s College London, he brings a solid academic foundation to the role. Multilingual and deeply passionate about reading, travelling and networking, Emir is committed to continuous learning and fostering meaningful connections both professionally and personally.

Fintech: Ermal is a data analyst based in the City of London. He holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University College London (UCL) and is passionate about mathematics, education and callisthenics.

Engineering: Mabela is a professional specialising in AI and software engineering, holding an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Surrey. She has made significant contributions to academia and tech start-ups, focusing on AI applications in entrepreneurship and healthcare.

Creative tech and design: Julian has a strong background in design, imagery and sound, paired with a passion for technical thinking and evidence-based creativity. Trained in architecture, he developed a keen eye for detail and systems thinking. He has experience in CGI and graphic design, and since 2020, has been building his programming skills in Python and JavaScript.

Strategic Consulting: Tzoulieta works at a Japanese multinational information technology service and IT consulting company as Principal Strategy Advisor. She holds an MSc in Accounting & Financial Management and a BSc in Mathematics. Outside of work, Tzoulieta enjoys travelling, photography and spending time with friends and family.

Medical Research: Armela, founder of the first skincare research lab in the Auvergne Region, is dedicated to creating products for cancer patients. A graduate in Medicine and Cancer Research from Clermont Auvergne University, she has won two national entrepreneurship awards. Fluent in 8 languages, she loves oil painting and hiking, blending creativity and science.

Research: Enis is currently a Scientist at the National Physical Laboratory in London, where he is working on a European Space Agency-sponsored mission (TRUTHS), tackling the climate emergency. He holds an MPhys in Physics from the University of Oxford. Outside of work, Enis enjoys running, playing football and exploring London through socialising.

Student: Loretta is a final-year Accounting and Finance student at Durham University, eager to begin her career in Audit at KPMG. She enjoys organising charity fashion shows and has led large-scale events at Durham and Newcastle Cathedrals. An avid runner training for the London Marathon, she also enjoys traveling, painting and spending quality time with family.

Tech and Engineering: Markelio leads a team of Technical Support Engineers across EMEA at a data analytics company in London. He has over 10 years in the tech industry, including IT, Networking, PS and CSS. Markelio holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Computer Science and is passionate about learning, mentoring and growth. 

International Law & Social Policy: Roena is completing her postgraduate studies at King’s College London (International Children’s Rights and Development with a focus on international law and social policy). She's worked with Refuge Organisation and Lambeth Council, supporting children and families affected by domestic violence, focusing on safeguarding. Outside her studies, she enjoys reading and travelling
