The UKAP Foundation - ‘UKAP’ is an acronym for UK Albanian Professionals, coined initially for a group of graduates and young professionals volunteering together from around 2010 to organise panel and learning events and to mentor students. That body of work inspired the trustees to establish a charitable foundation, the UKAP Foundation, with the advancement of education at its core to deliver on its key objectives.  

The UKAP Foundation's work overseen by the Board of Trustees and supported by a dedicated group of volunteers continues to progress on this inspiring journey of advancing education for the public benefit of young adults (particularly, but not exclusively, those of Albanian heritage) in the following ways:  

Scholarships: establishing scholarship programmes to support academic pursuits based on academic merit and/ or financial need; 

Mentoring: providing a mentoring programme to offer guidance, perspectives and insight into various industries and career paths; and 

Educational and Skills Training: facilitating interactive workshops and training sessions to develop individual capabilities, competencies and skills.   

All the above activities support our overarching and charitable objective in advancing education, which is the core focus of the UKAP Foundation.   

Separate from the activities of the UKAP Foundation, general networking events open to all in the community are organised separately by an association of volunteers (UKAP Networking).  This association does not benefit from the activities or resources of the UKAP Foundation.
