Application Process

The application process for the UKAP Foundation Mentoring Programme consists of two main stages: Application and Interview.

To begin your application to the UKAP Foundation Mentoring Programme, please complete the online application form and upload your CV.

Once your application has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email acknowledging that we have received it. Please allow our team sufficient time to carefully review all applications.

Preparing your CV

Your CV does not need to be perfect. Many applicants apply to the programme specifically to gain guidance on improving their CV and developing their professional profile. However, we encourage you to take a few moments to:

• Review your CV for spelling and grammar
• Ensure your education, experience and interests are clearly presented
• Use a clear and professional CV template

Important information for applicants

• If you do not receive a confirmation email within a few weeks, please contact us to ensure your application has been successfully received.
• If you experience any difficulty uploading your CV or completing the application form, please do not hesitate to email us and we will be happy to assist.

Applicants who successfully pass the initial application stage will be invited to an interview with members of the selection committee.

This conversation provides an opportunity for us to learn more about your background, motivations and aspirations, and to better understand how the Mentoring Programme can support your academic and professional development.

Following a successful interview, accepted applicants will be contacted via email and carefully matched with a mentor. The selection committee makes these matches based on a range of factors, including:

• Academic interests
• Career objectives
• Professional development goals
• Individual needs and areas of interest.

All successful mentees will receive a Mentoring Programme Handbook, which outlines how the programme operates and provides practical guidance on building a strong and productive relationship with your mentor.

As of 28 February 2026, the 2026 UKAP Mentoring Programme applications are now open.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is recommended.
